As a kid you knew there was a certain point you could push your parents to, but after that, you KNEW you were in trouble. Usually the first sign that things weren't going to go the way you would like was the dreaded 'middle name'. You know what I'm talking about....I was usually pretty sure I was ok until I heard "Tracey Vonne" in that tone that only a parent can use.
Well, as things usually repeat the past, same goes in our house. Taris knows she's pushed us too far when she hears 'Taris Lynn Rae', and Darcie maybe doesn't know it yet, but 'Darcie Liz' is probably not a good thing. Well, the other day I discovered that (at least Taris) the girls know that by using the middle name we mean business. Taris was sitting in the chair and Higgins just wouldn't leave her alone. Seeing as she's 'practicing' not yelling at him she tried two times, very patiently to say "Higgins, down" and "No, Higgins". Finally after this obviously wasn't working she looked at him, and in her sternest 'parent' voice said, "Higgins Lynn Rae, get down!" It still didn't work, but was totally priceless!!
